Mina the bear – Free Crochet Pattern

Meet the happy bear Mina! If you have a difficult day, just take a rest, relax with music and make this little bear. She can make you smile with her magic.

1 pairs of 6 mm safety eyes

2mm crochet hook

Fiber filling

Approximately 16cm from toes to top of head

Cut the thread leaving enough length for sewing.  Place the safety eyes between rounds 11 and 12 at about 8 sts apart. Stuff with the fiberfill.

EARS (Make 2)

R1: 6sc in MR (6)

R3: (2sc, 1inc) * 3 (12)

R 4: (4sc, 1dec) *2 (10)

Fasten off. Leaving a long tail. Don’t stuff the ears. Take the ear, flatten it and sew the open edges closed.

Sew the ear to the head between the row 4 and the row 8 of the head.

MUZZLE

R1: 6sc in MR (6)

R2: 6 inc (12)

R3: 1sc, 1 inc, 1 HDC, 2 HDC in next st, 1sc, 2 inc, 1sc, 2 HDC in next st ,1 HDC, 1 inc, 1 sc (18)

Sew the muzzle between R 12 and R16 of the head.

Crochet bear pattern

LEGS (Make 2)

Use yellow yarn

R1: 6sc in MR (6)

R2: 6sc (6)

R3: 1dec, 1sc, 1inc, 2sc (6)

R4: 3sc, 1 inc, 2 sc (7)

R5: 4sc, 1inc, 2sc (8)

Cut and secure the thread. Make the other leg but don’t cut the thread and continue working the body.

BODY

Continue working and put the second leg near to the first one and go ahead with these steps:

Row 1: sc in the following 8 sts of the second leg, Chain 7 and join with slip stitch through both loops of a sc on the first leg, sc in the following 8 sts of the first leg, 7 sc in 7ch, place a stitch marker in the last sts( 30)

R 2: (4sc, 1inc) *6 (36)

R3: (5sc, 1inc) * 6 (42)

R 4 – R10: 42 sc (42)

R11: (5sc, 1 dec) * 6 (36)

R 12 – R13: 36 sc (36)

R 14: 2sc, 1dec, (4sc, 1 dec) * 5, 2sc( 30)

R 15 – R 16 : 30 sc (30)

R 17 : (3sc, 1 dec) * 6 (24)

R18: 24 sc (24)

R 19 : (1sc, 1dec) * 8 (16)

Stuff the legs and body. Cut and secure the thread. Leaving a long tail. Sew the body with the head.

ARMS (Make 2)

R1 : 6sc in MR (6)

R2 – R 13: 6 sc (6)

Stuff the arms. Cut and secure the thread.

Take the arm, flatten it and sew the open edges closed. Leaving a long tail.

Sew the arms between rounds 17 and 18 of the body.
