Bergere de France Grizzly 100 color Sable – Fur Yarn (5gr)

2mm crochet hook

Fiber filling

Scissor, stick glue, yarn needle, markers, pin and bell.

Abbreviations

MR: Magic ring
ch: chain

hdc: half double crochet

BODY

Use blue yarn

Row 1: 6sc in MR (6)

Row 2:  6 inc (12)

Row 3 :(1sc, 1inc) *6 (18)

Row 4: (2sc,1inc) *6 (24)

Row 5: (3sc,1inc) *6 (30)

Row 6: (4sc,1inc) *6 (36)

Row 7: BLO, 36sc (36)

Use felt fabric to cut circle.  The diameter of circle is equal to the diameter of bottom of the body. Place it inside the boy. I placed it after row 10.

Change to mint yarn

From here we start the striped sequence (blue and mint):

Row in mint color: 8, 10, 12, 14 – the rest of rows we will make them in blue color.

Row 8: 36sc (36)

Row 9: (2sc, 1dec, 2sc) * 6 (30)

Row 10 – Row 11: 30 sc (30)

Row 12: ( 3sc, 1dec) * 6 (24)

Row 13 – Row 14: 24 sc (24)

Change to light peach yarn

Row 15: ( 1sc, 1dec, 1sc) * 6 (18) . Start stuffing with the fiberfill and keep stuffing as you continue.

Row 16 : 18 sc (18)

Row 17 : ( 1sc, 1dec) * 6 (12)

Row 18 : 12 sc (12)

Row 19 : 6dec

Cut the yarn and using a needle to guide it into each front loop of the last round. Fasten off.

(Hold the body upside down, go to R7, use blue yarn, insert 1 sc, FLO, 36 sc, join by 1 slst)

BEARD

Use fur yarn

Row 1: ch 7,  start in the 2nd chain from the hook, 6sc (6)

Cut and secure the yarn. Place the beard to the head and glue it along the dotted line that is shown on the picture.

NOSE

Use light peach yarn

Row 1 : 6sc in MR (6)

Row 2 – Row 3 : 6sc (6)

Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew the nose to the head.

ARM (Make 2)

Use red yarn

Row 1: 6sc in Mr (6)

Row 2 – Row 3: 6sc (6)

Change to blue yarn

From here we start the striped sequence (blue and mint):

Row in blue color: 4,6,8 – the rest of rows we will make them in mint color.

Row 4 – Row 8: 6sc (6)

Cut the yarn and leave a long tail for sewing. Don’t stuff it. Flatten it and sew the open edges closed. Sew the arm to the body between row 13 and 14.

HAT

Use red yarn

Row 1 : 4sc in MR (4)

Row 2 : 4sc (4)

Row 3 : ( 1sc, 1inc) * 2 (6)

Row 4 : 6sc (6)

Change to white yarn

Row 5: 6sc (6)

Change to red yarn yarn

Row 6 : 6sc (6)

Row 7 : ( 1sc, 1inc) * 3 (9)

Row 8 : 9 sc (9)

Row 9: ( 2sc, 1inc) * 3 (12)

Change to white yarn

Row 10 : 12 sc (12)

Row 11 : ( 3sc, 1inc) * 3 (15)

Row 12 : 15 sc (15)

Row 13 : ( 4sc, 1inc) * 3 (18)

Change to grey yarn

Row 14 : 18 sc (18)

Change to red yarn

Row 15 : ( 2sc, 1inc) * 6 (24)

Row 16 – Row 17: 24 sc (24)

Row 18: ( 3sc, 1inc) * 6 (30)

Row 19: ( 2sc in white yar, 1sc in red yarn), repeat () to the end.

Use red yarn

Row 20: 30 sc (30)

Row 21: ( 4sc, 1inc) * 6 (36)

Row 22: (5sc, 1inc) * 6 (42)

Change to white yarn

Row 23: 42sc (42)

Cut the yarn. Sew the bell on the top of the hat. Sew the hat to the head. Add a string on the top of the hat for hanging.
